P.E. Project Manager
Christine grew up in Alaska and then moved to the San Francisco Bay Area before starting high school. The difference between a mostly natural environment and a mostly built environment was a true culture shock. She designed HVAC and plumbing systems for mixed use and high tech, and then got her professional engineering license before working as a construction manager for health care systems Kaiser and Providence. This work made her keenly aware of how design decisions affect the occupants of a building, especially the most vulnerable. As the commissioning program manager for LA Community College District's green building bond, she developed an even greater appreciation for how crucial it is to start with good design and then finely tune systems before occupancy.
